Well, one of our two gymnasts, Kyle, is out of commission
this week due to a medical issue.
Fortunately, he’ll be OK, but it required a shuffling around of our
performances. He was out of the
“Vacation” bumper on Sunday evening, and then out of THE V-SHOW on Monday
night. Jalynn sang “Defying
Gravity” without Kyle doing the aerial hoop routine, and the straps number that
Kyle and Zach do was cut. The
audience didn’t know any better, and the cast and crew all did a wonderful job
cutting and pasting where there was a void before the finale number.
Tonight, Arte Diem (www.hannatimo.com) performed, instead of
Saturday, where they have been performing. They received a standing ovation after each performance, and
it seems that Wednesday night is a well-received night for them. It looks like we may keep them on
Wednesdays. I took some notes on
their show, after having seen it last week, and will meet with them later this
week to share my thoughts on how they might improve a bit. They are a WONDERFUL and talented group
of 4 entertainers, and yearn to constantly improve their show. I’m flattered that they want my
opinions.
