OK, so basically, this week was a complete overwhelming
whirlwind of activity, and thus my lack of writing here. My time sheet had me working 87.5
hours. I’m sure it was more than
that with “work topics” creeping into conversations all the time. In addition to doing my job, I’ve spent
a lot of time organizing, filing, cleaning, throwing away triplicates of
papers, etc. Regardless, I am very
happy with the work and ship life feels “natural.” Actually, this whole experience has felt as natural as it
could, and as though this is where I’m supposed to be, and what I’m supposed to
be doing right now.
Thanksgiving was uneventful . . . one of the biggest
disappointments was not being able to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day
parade. I did have a turkey dinner in the Officers' Mess . . . oh, that's something that's sort of exciting . . . I get to eat in the Officers' Mess because of my managerial position. I am a 2.5 striped "officer." How weird is that?!?! Thankfully I didn't have to do boot camp!
My current itinerary is:
Sunday – Tampa, FL
Monday – Sea Day
Tuesday – Roatan, Honduras
Wednesday – Belize City, Belize
Thursday – Costa Maya, Mexico
Friday – Cozumel, Mexico
Saturday – Sea Day
No seasickness, and I haven’t been off the ship all week.
