Week #3 of my managers
training. Six more to go . . .
Mom and Dad went ashore
today in Belize. We tender here
(take ferries from the ship to the land) as there are no docks, so it takes a
bit longer. Fortunately, with their
V.I.P. status, Mom & Dad receive priority boarding on the tenders, and
don’t have to get numbered tickets and wait to be called. They were hoping to take a trolley or
bus or something tour of Belize, but it was sold out. On shore, they found a local tour (as opposed to one through
the ship’s shore excursions department).
It was supposed to be an hour, but lasted an hour and 45 minutes. And it was much cheaper than the
ship-affiliated tour. So, they saw
Belize. We hung out in the
afternoon, and then we had an early dinner in Aqua, one of the two main (free)
dining rooms.
Mom & Dad attended the
early (7:15pm) performance of BAND ON THE RUN and really liked it. After that, they went to the Spinnaker
Lounge for another game show (The Perfect Couple) and then hit the sack. It's a wild, uproarious game, where three couples have to do ridiculous activities with each other. Challenges such as popping balloons in various positions, navigating a lemon up one pant leg, through the crotch, and down another are involved. Natalie, one of the cruise staff members thought it would be a good idea for Mom & Dad to participate. Thank goodness they didn't! We all would've had Natalie's head on a platter!
