For this
trip (scheduled through Nov. 18), I am an independent contractor. That means that I have a passenger
cabin (woo hoo!) and full passenger access, but am on the crew manifest, so I
can go to crew areas (including the crew bar) too. PS – LOVIN’ the crew discount . . . a bottle of wine and a
beer was $5.00 at the crew bar!
The day pretty much consisted of walking the ship, trying to
get my bearings, unpacking, a little lunch w/ the musical director in the buffet,
etc. All of the cast made it, as
did the director, and the various wardrobe personnel. A 6pm production meeting to look at the week’s (plus)
schedule (or at least the first several days), followed by a little dinner in
the buffet, a beer in the crew bar with the director (Tiger Martina, with whom
I adore collaborating), and by 9:45pm, I was beat. I was planning to hit the Spinnaker Lounge with Tiger and
Adrian Wise, the wardrobe head, to watch the Halloween costume contest, but the
sheep needed counting, so I did.
