Today we were in Warnemunde, Germany.

Google has been such a friend with this blogging!

Jet lag stinks!  I went to bed about midnight last night, and we moved forward an hour at 2am.  About 3am, I awoke and was awakd for a while . . . I don't know exactly, but at least two hours.  Ah well.  Bring on the extra vitamins!

I spent the majority of the day reorganizing paperwork, binders, files, etc., while learning a few special details of this ship.  Tonight, we had two different shows.  The first was a German folkloric show, with local performers, and the second was Jorgos, the magician currently on the ship.  I did step off the ship today when my predecessor and I went to the terminal to get the folkloric performers.  I exclaimed as I stepped off of the gangway, "hey, I'm in Germany!  Woo hoo!"  It was exciting, as the last (and only) time I was here was when I was 11 years old, in 1986.  Oh my, I really just dated myself!  Yikes!

I have nothing terribly exciting to report.  I worked over 10 hours today, but feel like I am slowly making progress on the task at hand.  I have resigned myself to the fact that I will pretty much stay on the ship this week, getting the "house" in order.  Next week, once the woman I am replacing has left, and I'm "doing it" on my own, I plan to get off the ports, and experience some of these wonderful Baltic countries.
